Outfielder, Pat Olvaney, has made his decision to sign a baseball scholarship with Georgia College and State University in Milledgeville, Georgia.
He will sign during the upcoming April signing period for NCAA four year institutions. Olvaney’s inking will be the 11th Pirate in the 2012 class to sign, with that number growing to 14 within a week, as 3B Josh Sanders, C Neal Chambless, and 2B Jared Kahn will soon be making their decisions, as well.
Pat enjoyed a solid freshman season in 2011, as he hit .317 with 6 doubles, 4 homers, and 15 RBI’s in 41 games for CVCC. In 2012 thus far, Olvaney is hitting .273, with 4 doubles, 1 triple, 1 homer, 13 RBI’s, and 4 stolen bases. Pat is the son of Gary and Lora Olvaney and is a graduate of South Forsythe High School in Alpharetta, Georgia.
